2011This year was my third trip to Bodypower at the NEC in Birmingham, it’s a great day out. A fitness expo with loads to see and do. I went with my training partner and we had a really good laugh.
It wasn’t really a day for photos, but I did take a few snapshots of Jay and Ronnie during their seminars. Enjoy!

2011Harley dropped by at my home studio one saturday morning and was great fun to work with, buzzing with ideas and fitting in our shoot before flying to the US for a video shoot the next day.

Shane Copley is this years winner of the NABBA Universe Class 3 and got in touch wanting to take some slightly more unusual bodybuilding portraits rather than just standard poses.
Our working brief for the shoot was to try and create some contrasts between his (pretty huge!) size and ordinary members of the public out and about shopping. So into the centre of Leeds we went on a busy Saturday morning.
The reactions of passers by were hilarious, veering wildly from fascination (just staring…and staring…and staring) to lip curling disgust. Some people didn’t know where to look, some couldn’t tear themselves away. *i

Lee’s currently building his portfolio and hails from Abertillery in Wales. He came up North one sunny Saturday morning for a shoot together. And yes, Fireman themed pictures are a bit of a cliche, but hey it doesn’t hurt to shoot one now and again does it?

This weekend, i’m down in Birmingham at the NEC at the Bodypower Expo. It’s the second year it has run and it’s bigger and better than before. I decided to come down for both days this year, so more shots to follow.
But for now, here’s my snaps from in and around the show from day 1, a little bit different for me shooting on the run at an event rather than the usual portraits, so a bit of a learning experience!
You’ll find photos below of the crowd, the stands, Mr Olympia Jay Cutler, Phil Heath and Andy Haman to name but a few!

The NABBA North East 2010 contest took place today at the Frontier Club in Batley, it was a pretty packed house and I was there for the first 3 and a bit hours.
My main reason for going was to cheer on Lee Irving, who was appearing in the First Timers category which he won, it was clear from the moment he stepped on that he was head and shoulders above the competition.
Other special mention goes to Jamie Deacon who won the Juniors category, with a very strong performance which included a front flip!

I was down south for a few days and organised to drop in at Definition Gym in Peterborough. It’s a great gym and Lee who runs it had organised some great guys to model for me.
Rob Reinaldo, Ricardo Correia and Rob Taylor were all around and happy to pose for a few shots together.
