One Sunday in January saw me out in the snow (which seems a distant memory now) to work again with one of my favourite models Dan G. He’s soon to release a new album, with his recording partner Sam and wanted some shots they could use for press purposes as well as potentially an album cover.
We had a good day shooting in some abandoned buildings and along the canal in Leeds, though it was absolutely freezing and my flash triggers went on the blink (fixed now) at times I couldn’t even feel my shutter finger and the poor models weren’t feeling too warm either!
The brief was for a dark, moody, hiphop feel…which was lucky as I only had one working flash!

I shot with Eric back in September 2009 and since then he’s gone on to model around the world and create something of a stir with some of his shoots! Since his appearance on the site of DNA Magazine, i’ve even found that people have been turning up here having Googled for “Who is Eric Rensburg?” … well I could tell you…but i’d have to kill you!

These shots came from a group shoot organised during the day at a nightclub in Middlesborough. Odd being in an empty nightclub in daytime, but great to have some different locations to use!

Sam is a personal trainer and we had a great urban shoot in and around Leeds, mainly focussing on Park Square, Wellington Place and along the river. He was great fun to work with.

Dan’s shoot was my first with a model and he was fantastic to work with. We worked in and around Holbeck in Leeds, taking advantage of wasteland, the canalside and the brilliant Temple Works as locations.

May 2009 saw the first ever Bodypower Expo at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham. Covering MMA, Bodybuilding, Strongman and more it was a really good day out with loads to do and see.
